We haven’t decided if, after this little experiment of having a few months apart, if we are gonna come back together and live together as friends and family, or if we’re going to just keep the kids in the house and we’ll come in and out. It feels revolutionary to say, but I was able to get sober and stay sober on reality TV. That something for which I will forever be grateful. And I came out, becoming the first gay Housewife in the franchise’s history. What an incredible honor to look back upon, especially during Pride Month.Braunwyn added:I know I may have been too much for some, and that’s okay. I am real, and I am happy being me. We love each other. We are family, we are friends. Before the Instagram Live, Braunwyn shared a message about being vulnerable on her page. Theres a security that comes with the real, honest, vulnerability of women. There are days when I do my makeup, my hair, and I LOVE that person, Braunwyn captioned a slideshow of makeup-less selfies. I also love the messy haired, no makeup person- NO one is ever done up all the time. My face is my face and my body is my body, which is why I never use FaceTune. This is me. Where do you gain your confidence and security? Her caption continued: Well, for me, I think its conversations with my sisters, my daughters, and my mother- its breaking bread, dancing, and sharing creativity with women who believe in themselves, thus, believing in you! This past weekend, the conversation of having it all came up a lot. What does having it all mean to you? For some women, its having children, and being a full time homemaker. For others, its a career filled with office runs, travel, creativity, and more. But what about doing both? Why is that so crazy for people to understand? That someone can be a mother, friend, sister, daughter, and career person all at the same time? We never ask men that question, do we? Ive been thinking about this a lot, and I dont have all the answers yet, and maybe I never will- but for now, this is me, and I am happy.Since coming out, Braunwyn has been using her platform to promote positivity and confidence.
