Scooter Braun Wants To Sit Down And Talk With Taylor Swift, Claims His Family Is Getting Death Threats

After Taylor Swift took things nuclear with Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Records accusing them of preventing her from using her old music in anAmerican Music Awards performance and also an upcoming Netflix documentary, things have now escalated. Scooter has spoken up. First at a conference where he said he wasn’t going to “participate”, and then afterward on Instagram where he fully participated-letting TSwift know: her fans are sending him death threats. He even attached one.Variety says that Scooter told a whole bunch of people at the 2019 Entertainment Industry Conference that he knew his life was dramatic at the moment. Scotttalked about how he hasn’t talked about this “once” and how Taylor has made him the “bad guy”:”I haven’t talked about this in six months. Not once. I haven’t made a statement about it. When there’s a lot of things being said and a lot of different opinions, yet the principals haven’t had a chance to speak to each other, there’s a lot of confusion. I’m not going to go into details here, because it’s just not my style. I just think we live in a time of toxic division, and of people thinking that social media is the appropriate place to air out on each other and not have conversations. And I don’t like politicians doing it. I don’t like anybody doing it, and if that means that I’ve got to be the bad guy longer, I’ll be the bad guy longer, but I’m not going to participate.”Well, the need to not participate evaporated really quick when Scooter decided that some alleged violent death threats against his family were too much. He wrote her an iOS op-ed-press release.Scott writes that he’s not sure if her intention was to create a media and fan frenzy , but it’s been crazy and he doesn’t think it’s worth “jeopardizing anyone’s safety”. Um I can confirm that Taylor Swift’s full discography is not worth dying over. Scott also claims that she can perform whatever songs she wants and now that he’s saying it on Instagram, everyone knows she can.He says he’s “disappointed” since Taylor was told about these threats four days ago and has said nothing to her fans, so he’s had no choice but to pull a Taylor Swift and make a public announcement. Hear that? It’s the sound of Taylor’s bangs burning off as her own trick is used against her.Scooter says that after having “mutual friends” try to get the two together:“It almost feels as if you have no interest in ever resolving the conflict.”He goes on:“Many have told me that a meeting will never happen as this is not about truth or resolution but instead a narrative for you. I am hopeful that is not the case.”Scott ends his Instagram plea with:“But if you would prefer to make large public statements while refusing to work towards resolving things amicably then I just pray that nobody gets seriously hurt in the process. I continue to wish you the best and hope we can resolve this.”He then tops it off with a screenshot of a death threat from a hedgehog that reads:“Hi, why don’t you just die with you children? I will buy a gun tomorrow and then shoot you all in the head.”Here’s Scott’s full plea to Taylor: View this post on Instagram @taylorswiftA post shared by Scooter Braun on Nov 22, 2019 at 12:09am PSTReally throws a wrench into that whole plan to roast Scooter on Sunday during your speech, huh? But Scooter is never ever going to hand over the masters to her, and she’s never ever going to let this go. So at the AMAs this weekend, expect for her to continue her plan of singing re-worked versions of her songs directed toward Scooter like Look What You Made The Swifties Do and You Need To Fudge Off. Yes, “Fudge Off.” This is serious for Taylor but not serious enough to curse!Pic: Wenn.comDlisted
