Those people who have newer washing machines know that it makesshrill, chirpy noises that actually sound better than most of the music out there right now. But some of those people claim to be stoned talented enough to turn those beeps and bloops into a melodic track. Two guys on TikTok have proven that you can make sweet, sweet music out of the dings on your washing machine. Listen, we’re all bored, so it HAS come to this. The video was made and posted by Kurt Hugo Schneider, a musician whose TikTok and Instagram pages show more than just a passion for household chores. In the most recent post, Kurt turns on his washing machine and, with the help of fellow musician, Jason Pitts, bangs out a perfect chorus of A-ha’s 1985 masterpiece“Take On Me”.As fabulous as the rendition is, it’s not the first pitch-perfect performance that Kurt and his fast fingers have given. He’s done“Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd on the microwave, Usher’s song, “Yeah” with the oven doors, and theCoffin Dance Memeon a door entry keypad. I’m going to need Kurt to tell me which weed strain causes the appliances in his house to look at him and say, “Play me.” Because I need to stay away from that strain.
