Deadline says that a documentary about the College Admissions Scandal that got Felicity Huffman, Lori Loughlin, and Mossimo Giannulli locked up is coming to Netflix. The scandal saw a bunch of rich people getting exposed as schemers who paid the College Admissions Scandal ringleader,Rick Singer, to get their children into elite universities. It eveninterrupted Olivia Jade‘s YouTuber career! Felicity and Lori are already out of prison after serving their sentences, but Mossimo is still suffering in prison and isn’t due to be released until April. But even though the College Admissions Scandal hasn’t wrapped up yet, Netflix has already announced that it will release adocumentary from the same people who made Tiger King and Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened. Wow, these people are professionals at documentaries on absolute fuckery! What a niche. The documentary, titled Operation Varisty Blues: The College Admissions Scandal, was directed by Chris Smith, who directed Fyre and was a producer on Tiger King, and will premiere on March 17. Named after the codename of the investigation into the rich people crime syndicate, Operation Varsity Blues will be part-interview and part-dramatic-recreation. Matthew Modine will play Rick Singer. Here’s the breakdown of the doc:“An examination that goes beyond the celebrity-driven headlines and dives into the methods used by Rick Singer, the man at the center of the shocking 2019 college admissions scandal, to persuade his wealthy clients to cheat an educational system already designed to benefit the privileged.”Using an innovative combination of interviews and narrative recreations of the FBIs wiretapped conversations between Singer and his clients, Operation Varsity Blues offers a rare glimpse into the enigmatic figure behind a scheme that exposed the lengths wealthy families would go to for admission into elite colleges, and angered a nation already grappling with the effects of widespread inequality.I wonder how many burner phones Lori Loughlin went through after Netflix kept blocking her numbers because they were sick of her begging them to cast her as Lori Loughin? But honestly, I would rather watch a movie that’s a dramatic recreation of Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin’s time in prison. It can be called 11 Days In, or When Calls The Warden. Here’s the teaser for Operation Varsity Blues:Everything youve heard is true. But you havent heard everything.
